Fourth lesson of IS

In this lesson, I learnt that CSS(Cascading Style Sheets) defines how html elements are displayed. I also learnt that it can change appearance and layout of multiple webpages all at once. I am also very excited as I will be designing the webpage with my friend this week. I hope that I can do a good job.

Third lesson of IS

In this lesson, we will get into knowing the backbone behind the website and learning to build web pages using Hypertext Markup Language (HTML) I also learnt about some html tags such as html,head,title,body from this lesson. From the lesson given on YouTube, i learnt even more about html. From this lesson, i also learnt that teamwork is essential. I, myself, could not finish the works but my partner decided to share the load and this makes our job easier .I felt that IS lessons are really wonderful lessons which we could not only learn a lot about IT skills but alsoabout the teamwork between my friends and I.

Second lesson of IS

Today, i went for the second lesson of my Info-comm Studies. I learnt about Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) and Web 2.0 technologies. Now, we can send messages in a email to the person within a few seconds, rather than writing a letter and let the postman deliver to the destination in the olden days. I think soon, we will be able to interact or even communicate with computers, and then everything would be much more easier. However, there are also disadvantages about it. Such as when we use the computer, our body do not have to move too much and we can send the message, unlike in the past, we have to go to the post office and deliver it. I also learnt that social networking is a great way to meet friends but we must be careful not to give any information such as our name, school and address in our profiles in case other people find this information and use it to track us down. Those people could easily disguise as your friend and do bad things to you. Also, who knows when you are in a chatroom with your friend, a person might just go in and listen to the conversation?

First lesson of IS

My name is Chen Xingzhu and i have very little knowledge about IT skills. I hope after attending all Info-Comm lesson, i would learn more IT skills.
Today, i went for the first lesson of Info-Comm Studies. Mr Kent is currently my Info-Comm Studies teacher.I learnt about FTP(File Transfer Protocol), URL(Uniform Resource Location), Netiquette, Web1.0 and Web2.0. I had learnt a lot of things and i hope i can learn more about IT after attending IS lessons.
